Flag Football-

Held in our state of the art gymnasium, flag football is offered to middle/high school aged boys every Tuesday and Wednesday night.   The program consists of six teams playing in a round robin format.  Flag football is offered during the fall program.

Girls Soccer Clinic-

The Girls Soccer Clinic at the Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens is an opportunity for girls at the club to participate in healthy exercise and competition while learning the basic skills of soccer.  The girls learn skills such as dribbling, trapping, passing, and player positioning in a fun and active environment.  Each workshop closes with a scrimmage that allows the girls to show off their new abilities in live-game action.  The workshops are run by Carly Hara, who has been a volunteer with the "I Have a Dream" Foundation - New York: Ravenswood Program for over three years and has played and coached competitive soccer for much of her life.

Wrestling “Beat the Street” Program

Intermural Baskeball is held everyday in our state of the art gym.  Whether your learning to box out, taking your first free throw or simply working on your jump shot, the Variety Boys and Girls Club gym is the place to be.  With its new scoreboards and sleek new flooring, you’re sure to experience all the fun and excitement you can handle.

Recreation

The recreation program at the Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens is consistently evolving in order to stay in touch with the current trends.  The Club Members take part in board games (i.e. monopoly, scrabble, cranium), table games (i.e. ping-pong, pool, knock hockey) and card games (i.e. uno. dominos, 24) in order to maintain a healthy balance between work and play.
